The 30 year old Sindhu, a former world champion, lost to Korea’s Sim Yu Jin with scores of 15-21, 14-21 in the Super 750 tournament, which signifies her fifth first-round elimination this year.
On the other hand, Satwik-Chirag and Lakshya achieved commanding victories in straight games.
