Kagiso Rabada aims to enhance South Africa’s trophy collection at forthcoming ICC events.
The fast bowler from South Africa, Kagiso Rabad, has encouraged his teammates to shift their focus from their recent achievement in the ICC World Test Championship Final and to concentrate on securing additional major trophies.
The Proteas ended a lengthy drought by defating Autralia in the World Test Championship Final at Lord’s earlier this year and are set to rekindle their rivalry with their close competitors during six white-ball matches in Australia, beginning with a three-match T20I series that starts in Darwin on Sunday.
While Rabada cherishes numerous pleasant memories from the significant match at the Home of Cricket in June, South Africa’s leading fast bowler urges his teammates to set aside their recent achievements and aim for further substantial victories in forthcoming ICC tournaments.
Rabada is set to participate in South Africa’s campaign at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next year in India and Sri Lanka, and he is confident that the will remain part of the team when the nation co-hosts the 14th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup with Zimbabwe and Namibia in 2027.
It felt somewhat like a relief,” Rabada remarked regarding the triumph in the world Test Championship Final against Australia.
“However, the show must go on, and as we look ahead to the T20 World Cup, I believe our strategy will differ slightly. Now, there is fear of anything.”
Rabada is optimistic about utilizing the forthcoming matches in Australia as a means of preparation for the T20 World Cup scheduled for early next year, and he believes that facing the Australians will present his team with a significant challenge.
