Farhan and Ayub: The Dynmic Duo Behind Pakistan’s Success

Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub a parthership of 138 runs for the opening wicket, leading to Pakistan’s victory over the West Indies by a margin of 13 runs.

Following their victory in the toss and the decision to bat first, Pakistan experienced an impressive display from Farhan and Ayub.

Pakistan reached a score of 189 for four, with Farhan dominating the opposition by scoring 74 runs off 53 balls, including five sixes and three fours. Ayub contributed significantly as well, enduring 19 overs and concluding with 66 runs from 49 balls, which featured two sixes and four fours.

Farhan was dismissed by West Indies captain Shai Hope, who caught him at long off from a delivery bowled by Shamar Joseph on the second ball of the 17th over.

Hasan Nawaz came to the crease but was retired after scoring only 15 runs, as he was caught by Romario Shepherd at long off from a delivery by Roston Chase on the second-to-last ball of the 18th over.

Mohammad Haris was dismissed for just two runs by Gudakesh Motie at the beginning of the 19th over, while Ayub was finally out on the last ball of the second to last over. Jason Holder’s delivery was caught by Sherfane Rutherford at sweeper cover.

Chasing a target of 190, the West Indies managed to score 30 runs off the first balls bowled by Hasan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz.

Jewel Andrew was caught by Hasan Ali at long on, bowled by Haris Rauf for 24, marking the first wicket for the West Indies at a score of 44.

Ayub was caught by Hope and bowled out by Nawaz for seven runs in the ninth over, leaving the hosts still needing 116 runs to win.

Alick Athanaze lasted for 13 runs before being dismissed for 60 runs, caught by Khushdil Shah and bowled by Ayub. At this point, the West Indies were at 110, requiring 80 runs from the final 42 deliveries.
