Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra surpassed his previous record by achieving a distance of 90 meters in the men’s javelin throw event at the Doha Diamond League 2025. He is first Indian to breach the 90 metre mark in international competition.

This accomplishment exceeded Chopra’s former personal record and national mark of 89.94m, which he established at the 2022 Stockholm Diamond League.

In 2022, Neeraj Chopra made history at the first Indian to secure Diamond League Tropy. He threw of 87.86m, second best on a chilly night at the King Baudouin Stadium. Anderson Peters from Grenada won the inaugural Diamond League title with a throw of 87.87 meters, who is the bronze medallist at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
