India’s Vice-Captain Smriti Mandhana Named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month Award 2025  

India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has won the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for September 2025. She received the honor for her excellent batting performances ahead of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

According to ICC, Smriti Mandhana said she was thrilled to win the award ahead of Pakistan’s Sidra Amin and South Africa’s Tazmin Brits.

“I’m truly honored to receive the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for September 2025,” she said. “Such recognition motivates me to keep improving as a player. It also reflects the trust, support, and hard work that our team puts in together.

My goal has always been to give my best and help India win matches. I’m excited to make the most of the upcoming opportunities and create more memorable victories for India.”

Mandhana September Month Performance

Smriti Mandhana won the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for September 2025 for her brilliant batting in the home ODI series against Australia.

She scored 308 runs in four matches, with an average of 77 and a strike rate of 135.68. Her top scores were 58, 117, and 125. In the third match, she hit a century in just 50 balls — the fastest by an Indian woman and the second-fastest in Women’s ODI history.

Her consistent performances and match-winning knocks made her a clear choice for the award. Other nominees included South Africa’s Tazmin Brits and Pakistan’s Sidra Amin.

Mandhana said the award inspires her to keep improving and to continue giving her best for India in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

Other Contenders for ICC Player of September Month Award

The other nominees for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for September 2025, along with Smriti Mandhana, were South Africa’s Tazmin Brits and Pakistan’s Sidra Amin.

Mandhana was honored for her brilliant batting in the home ODI series against Australia, while Brits and Amin were recognized for their strong performances in ODI series held in Pakistan during the same time.
