According to schedule, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are scheduled to compete in two ODIs on August 29 and 31, followed by three T2oIs on September 3, 6 and 7, respectively. The T20I segment of the series will be crucial preparation for Zimbabwe as they prepare to host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final tournament from September 19 to October 4.
Zimbabwe failed to qualify for the most recent T20 World Cup but participated in the 2022 edition. Additionally, they are scheduled to host Afghanistan for a comprehensive tour later this year.

Before, Zimbabwe was held to play Test matches each against South Africa and New Zealand.
